I burned through more organization devices than I’d like to admit before realizing there’s no one product that alone can change your life. However, when you find a selection of thoughtful products that work for you and your habits, it’s almost like magic!
Little by little, I have added new products to our house that contribute to my overall organizational approach, and as a collective they have been very helpful. For me personally, this is the first time in my adult life that my home has felt (mostly) organized. The mantra I have for myself now is this: “Don’t put it down, keep it.” Once a quarter, when I do a deeper organizing sweep of our house, it’s so much easier than before because everything is usually already in place.
Today I am sharing fifteen of the best home organization products I own and exactly how I use them in our house.
1. ClearSpace Storage Containers
$24+
This product, the humble garbage can, is the one that has solved 70% of the organization problems in our home. These containers have served as the basis of my method of organization. We have them in some drawers, in all the closets and in the kitchen. We probably have thirty total in the house! Some of them I use to store specific items like food, medicine, children’s toys and various things for the dog. Others are used to corral sundries around the house for future sorting. Sometimes the contents of these containers seem like a mess; other times, they look neat and tidy. No matter their status, I can sort through them quickly when needed.
I like that the height of the bins gives you the option of lining up taller items or stacking shorter items. I also like the transparent material and how easy it is to identify what is inside. The handles also make them very easy to pull out if storing on higher shelves.
2. Space Aid Wrap Organizer
$26+
I bought this on impulse and I’m glad I did. It makes me so happy every time I get ready to wrestle with plastic wrap, which has become so easy to cut. This product makes for a clean and tidy drawer. It comes in three different sizes to suit various needs.
3. GOLIYEAN Storage Containers with Lids
$31+
This set of storage bins with lids is a more recent addition to my fridge. The sizes work well in standard fridges (I have the medium and large sizes) and I love that they are stackable. They save a ton of valuable drawer space! I use them for things like yogurt, butter, and cheese.
4. Simple Houseware 2-Tier Slide Out Drawer Organizers
$25
I use these slide out drawers to store things that we grab often to clean the kitchen. This includes various cleaning brushes for hand-washing certain items like wine glasses, straws, and cast-iron skillets.
5. Set of 2 STORi Stackable Organizer Drawers
$24+
I love these under sink storage drawers in both the bathroom and kitchen. In the kitchen I use them to store garbage bags and dishwasher tablets. They’re nestled next to the linked slide-out organizer drawers above, making them a super stylish setup under your kitchen sink. I feel like a woman who has her stuff together every time a garbage bag needs to be replaced!
6. Seseno Set of 6 Stackable Storage Bins
$16
These storage bins are great for smaller items! I love that they stack so nicely to take advantage of the vertical space. I have used them in the fridge for things like berries, butter and cream cheese, citrus, and seasonings. They help me keep similar items together. I also use them in my office to store items like thank you cards, stickers, and random tech stuff.
7. Totally Kitchen Egg Storage Container
$14
I have two of these in our fridge. This product has a lid, which I love because it allows for easy stacking.
8. mDesign Divided Storage Bins with 4 Sections
$23+
These are perfect for storing various snacks and tea bags in our kitchen.
9. mDesign Storage Bin Set of 4
$24+
I love these bins for storing various items in the freezer and in narrow cabinets.
10. Baskets Under Veckle Shelves
$31+
These are great for making use of empty vertical cabinet space! I use these mainly for small plates, tea cups and glasses.
11. Yaenoei Set of 2 Storage Shelves
$23+
These shelves also come in handy when trying to maximize cabinet storage. They go well with the baskets under the shelf above!
12. OXO Good Grips POP Containers (gifted)
$8+
I keep all of our dry goods in these bins with labels on each one. I like that the shapes of the containers allow me to easily pack and stack them in our cabinets. They also keep everything fresh longer in my experience.
13. OXO Good Grips Adjustable Drawer Bins (gifted)
$12+
These work great for everything I keep in my bathroom drawers. The containers fit together like a Tetris game and there’s something about the size that works well for just about everything I own. They have adjustable dividers so you can customize the size of the sections in each container to be as small or as large as you need. They also have handles on the bottom so they don’t slide too far in drawers.
14. OXO Good Grips Set of 2 Expanding Dresser Drawer Dividers (Giveaway)
$23
I have them on my dresser and the kids’ dressers. They make it easy to put clothes away and see all my options at once when I’m getting dressed!
15. Amazon Basics Velvet Hangers
$22+
These keep everything in my closet organized and looking really neat! I love them.
