The best chocolate covered bananas!

I’m a bit in love with Bananas fruits. Bananas are super versatile, they’re the perfect on-the-go snack, they’re always in season, heck, you can even make pancakes with 2 eggs and a banana! But more technically speaking, because bananas are sweeter than other fruits, they add the sweet flavor and also keep things healthy.

HELLO Chocolate Covered Banana Pops! These babies are loaded with potassium and are an instant crowd-pleaser, not to mention actually so easy and fun to make (as long as you’re okay with having sprinkles EVERYWHERE). They even last a few months in the freezer, making them the perfect option for a make-ahead snack!

Ingredients in Chocolate Covered Bananas:

  • bananas – The ideal is to use firm and ripe bananas. Peel them and then cut them in half.
  • Chocolate – You will melt it with the coconut oil in a microwave-safe container or in a bain-marie on the stove. Feel free to use dairy free chocolate if needed.
  • Coconut oil – This helps the melted chocolate get that hard coating.
  • coverages – See ideas below!

How to make Chocolate Covered Banana Popsicles

STEP 1: FREEZE THE BANANAS

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the bananas in half and insert a popsicle stick into each half. Place the bananas on a baking sheet and freeze for 15 minutes.

STEP 2: MELT THE CHOCOLATE

Meanwhile, melt the coconut oil chocolate in a microwave-safe dish (checking every 30 seconds) or in a bowl over a pot half filled with boiling water. Stir until smooth.

STEP 3: ADD INGREDIENTS

Dip each banana pop in the chocolate (or drizzle), then sprinkle with your choice of topping. Place frozen Banana Pops in for at least 30 minutes.

Ingredient Suggestions:

The best thing about these guys is that there are no rules! Go crazy and get creative with your ingredients, the sky really is the limit here. You could even go crazy and dip your bananas in Greek yogurt. Whatever you do anyway, just make sure you freeze the bananas on the sticks first.

  • Walnuts – Any type you prefer! Hazelnuts, pistachios, pecans, almonds, etc.
  • sprinkles You can’t go wrong with a sprinkle of sprinkles!
  • Coconut I highly recommend toasting it too!
  • Big wave – Do you have granola handy? Try some on your chocolate covered banana!
