We are starting the year at Wit & Delight with a topic close to my heart: personal style.
Personal style is about how you express yourself through aesthetic choices, whether it’s in the realm of design, fashion, beauty, or something else entirely. Having a firm understanding of your personal style means that it will be easier to make these kinds of decisions, without having to ask endless questions along the way. I know from experience that it can be difficult to pin down your personal sense of style, especially when you are constantly exposed to the expressions of so many people. his style.
This month on Wit & Delight, I want to explore exactly how you can get to the bottom of your personal sense of style.
I want to write about tactical ways you can express your personal style in your home design and how personal style evolves with the different phases of life.
My own personal style has evolved a lot over the years. Over time, I’ve found that the more I stay true to my sense of style, the more joy and flow I feel throughout the design process. This has also contributed to an increase in self-confidence, as I have learned not to worry as much about how other people react to my style choices as I used to. It has been a profoundly refreshing change that was a long time coming.

Starting this month, we’ll be changing our blog posting schedule to three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday), with a possible occasional “bonus” post here and there. We will mainly focus on the content of my voice, mainly related to the design and the specific monthly theme. Each monthly theme in the future will also be more related to the theme of design.
For some time, I’ve wanted to narrow the breadth of our content and focus more specifically on the intersection of design and life. As we move into a new month and year, I am very excited to dive into this topic and this new approach to content.
