  • brown sugar– Brown sugar gives this sweet and salty marinade the sweetness. Any type works.
  • English sauce: I love Worcestershire sauce in marinades because it’s tangy and flavorful.
  • Garlic: the garlic in this really ties the marinade together.
  • Lemon: a bit of citrus is really the icing on the cake!

What is the secret ingredient in this pork chop marinade? Worcestershire sauce is definitely the secret ingredient. It adds a little flavor, flavor, and lots of flavor.

Looking to use what you have on hand? Feel free to use a little black pepper, dijon mustard, honey, extra virgin olive oil, or balsamic vinegar. They would all add delicious flavors.

What to store marinated pork chops in

When marinating any type of meat, we normally use 2 different containers:

  1. Pan: if using a casserole, we recommend flipping the pork chops a few times to make sure everything is well coated. You can also use whatever type of deep skillet you have on hand.
  2. One gallon plastic bag: I prefer to use a plastic bag because I find that more meat is covered.

How long to marinate pork chops?

We recommend marinating your pork chops for 12-24 hours. However, if you are short on time, 2-4 hours will do the trick.

Ways to Cook Marinated Pork Chops

I mentioned that this is a fantastic marinade for grilled pork chops, but it’s also great for a variety of other cooking methods.

Grill: Grill the pork chops at 400ºF (medium-high heat) over direct heat for about 6-8 minutes per side or until cooked through. Check out our Grilled Pork Chops Recipe.

  • Add soy sauce, light brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, and lemon juice to a bowl and mix until sugar dissolves.
