Kate’s Picks: 7 Things I Tried & Loved In March 2023 | wit and pleasure

March was a month where I felt pushed to my limits creatively, emotionally, physically, and financially. Everything! I remember when we feel this kind of pressure, change is often just around the corner. Instead of resisting, I did my best to welcome it all. I also found the little moments of joy scattered throughout the month to be a welcome distraction, whether in the form of a comfy nightgown, fun phone accessories, or Jones Road Miracle Balm that made my skin look super dewy. I hope the month of April (and the arrival of spring) brings a lighter feeling to my life!

These are the seven things I liked the most in March…

1. Robin Piccone Amy Plunging One Piece Swimsuit

$188

I bought this swimsuit before our family’s spring break trip to Arizona. I love it and so does Joe: he told me to buy it in all colors. (Not that he needed his opinion on how I look, but honestly, it always helps!) I love the quality of the construction and the short-sleeve silhouette. The cut makes me feel covered and supported while flattering my figure.

2. Tomorrow, and tomorrow, and tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin

$15

I first read this book last September and recently reviewed it as it was my book club pick for March. It is one of the most beautiful books I have read in a long time. It made me think about my relationship with my work and what success really means to me. I highly recommend reading this book if you haven’t already.

3. Jones Road Miracle Balm in Flushed (Gifted)

$38

At the end of this long winter my skin is pretty dull and Jones Road Miracle Balm is a game changer! It is very moisturizing and makes me look dewy and alive. I use it as a blush on my cheeks and a balm on my lips. I have it in the color Flushed, a beautiful fresh pink.

4. H&M Wide Leg Cargo Pants

H&M Wide Leg Cargo Pants

$35

I’ve had great luck with the fit of H&M pants and this style is another winner. I even got some compliments from strangers while wearing them recently. The silhouette of these pants, fitted at the waist and buttocks, with a wide leg, is quite flattering on my body. In general, I think cargo pants are photographed a bit weird, so don’t judge them until you try them on!

5. Zexxxy Cotton Nightgown

$27

I bought this nightgown on the recommendation of Courtney Grow. As with certain Amazon finds, this one has the worst branding and packaging ever. It was so bad that I had to share it with my friends. BUT, the nightgown itself is super cute and comfortable. What you do with this information is up to you!

6. Caseativo Case for iPhone

$13

This phone case was another recommendation from Courtney Grow. I love the waveform! It’s a great price and comes in seven color options. I also added this H&M bead decoration to my phone recently.

7. Shiseido Benefiance NutriPerfect Night Cream

$97

I ran out of moisturizer before we left for Arizona and went to the store to buy some. I bought this cream on the spot on the recommendation of the seller. It is incredibly hydrating and rich and not greasy at all. My skin has been so dry this winter, so dry that I’ve had a dry, scaly patch on my forehead for months. Once i started using this the scaly patch was gone. I really love him.
