Lucy Underdown Deadlifts current strong woman world record (300 kilograms/661.4 lbs) for 3 reps

Underdown continues to prove why he is an absolute superstar.

On July 19, 2023, strong woman Lucy Underdown shared an Instagram video of herself deadlift 300 kilograms (661.4 pounds) for three repetitions during a recent training session. The feat of strength is notable because that weight is the current world record for strong women. Underdown itself set that mark in 2021.

As an assist team on her latest feat of strength, the elite strongwoman used a lifting belt and lifting straps, completing her mind-blowing pulldowns from a conventional stance with a double overhand grip.

This isn’t the first time Underdown has caused a sensation with one of his deadlift sessions.

Recently, about a week before this three-rep bonanza, Underdown shared a four-rep 280-kilogram (617.3-pound) bout of strength-endurance and power in one. Combine that with holding both the strong woman’s deadlift world record and Kratos’ barbell deadlift world record of 305 kilograms (672.4 lbs), and Underdown continues to distinguish itself as one of the best deadlifters in the world.

Underdown isn’t just a power athlete when it comes to getting a lot of weight off the ground. That’s further evidenced by a personal record (PR) of 105 kilograms (231.5 pounds) for three reps on July 17, 2023. In almost every case, Underdown made these lifts look predictably easy. This is a promising sign for his pending competitions.

Underdown is in the midst of preparing for a litany of strong women’s contests.

The athlete will appear in each of the upcoming Europe’s Strongest Woman 2023, Britain’s Strongest Woman (BSW) 2023 and England’s Strongest Woman 2023 contests. Despite her reputation built on world records, Underdown is still looking to build on the only win of her professional career, England’s Strongest Woman 2022, according to her profile on strong men archives. The athlete came close during the 2023 United Kingdom’s Strongest Woman (UKSW), but she ultimately fell just one point short of defending champion Rebecca Roberts.

If Underdown carries over her deadlifts and displays of strength like this to any of her upcoming strong woman appearances, another milestone is likely down the line. It would certainly be a great moment for one of the biggest stars in the sport.

As Underdown can likely attest to herself, all it would take to finally break through with another victory is one more glorious moment where she could leapfrog her peers. Perhaps your deadlift or log press will eventually help in this ambitious pursuit.
