The OPOVE M3 Pro is a massage gun designed for muscle recovery and massage. It comes with multiple attachments that help address different issues.
I first started looking for a massage gun in September 2020 to help massage the knots I had been experiencing in my back. At that time, my chiropractor told me that constant massage was one of the best ways to relieve such knots, and so began my search for a massage gun.
I bought this particular version because it had great reviews and was less expensive than other similar options I had seen online. While the exact version I have, the OPOVE M3 Pro, is no longer available online, the OPOVE M3 Pro Max model is very similar. The latter features a four-hour work time (versus three-hour work time on the Pro), four speed options (versus three on the Pro), and a longer stroke length for a deeper massage.
How does it fit into your routine? How often do you use it?
As my chiropractor first suggested in 2020, I was more recently told by my massage therapist that the key to consistently relieving this pain is frequent massages, along with daily stretches to open up my shoulders and neck. Although I still have back pain, the ability to practice regular massages at home has helped me recover faster.
These days how often I use the massage gun depends on how the knots are under my shoulder blades, ranging from a few times a month to every night (Joe will help me massage some of the hard-to-reach places on my back.) I keep finding it incredibly helpful in relieving the deep knots in my back. Joe has also grown accustomed to using it, although he uses it primarily as a post-bike muscle recovery tool.
The best thing about this tool is that it is something that you can use from the comfort of your home. It is an effective method for massage at home and I always feel an incredible feeling of relaxation after using it.
I also love that it comes equipped with a rechargeable battery and a slim case for easy storage. It is lightweight, easy to use and easy to change accessories.
Is there anything about this product that you wish was different?
It is not always clear that the product is turned off, which sometimes causes it to run out of battery faster. That being said, it still has a very long battery life, so this is just a joke!
How has it held up over time?
Even after Joe and I used it regularly for a year and a half, it’s almost as good as new. There is some slight wear to the finish, but it’s not very noticeable. I really like the carrying case for helping to keep it in such good condition.
If you are looking for help with muscle recovery after workouts, suffer from deep tissue knots and discomfort, or are looking for a deep tissue massage tool outside of your massage therapist appointments, I highly recommend this product.
For me, it hasn’t completely eliminated my back pain (and I never expected it to!), but it certainly helped me manage it much better. It’s an amazing tool to have on hand between appointments with my chiropractor and massage therapist.
