The time has come. After years of not traveling solo for pleasure, I’m going with a group of friends to Napa. We’ve been planning this trip for a while, and we’re leaving tomorrow! We rented a house with a pool for a long weekend and have been joking about how we’re going to emulate coastal granny vibes with our outfits.
But, in all seriousness, I hate packing. I tend to put it off until the last minute, but this trip is different. I’ve planned the outfits on my Napa packing list ahead of time so I can easily pick out the clothes I’ll wear for the various activities we plan to do.
One of the advantages of traveling with people who are excellent at scheduling is that we have detailed itineraries and plans made in advance. I’m someone who often improvises, so this is really a treat. It also made it easier to pack. We’re visiting a handful of vineyards, two restaurants, and a spa, and we’re spending time at our rental property enjoying the pool and cooking a home-cooked meal. I planned outfits around these activities! It was a really fun way to decide what to wear.
Here are the centerpieces on my Napa packing list!
1 and 2
Effortless Summersalt Shirt Dress & Palazzo Pant (Gift)

Price: $80 each
This outfit is flowy, laid back, and chic! I’m thinking of wearing this shirt dress and pants to the spa combined with the bodysuit below and a headscarf. It’ll be comfortable enough to slip on after a relaxing facial and stylish enough to wear to a winery in the afternoon.

3
J. Crew Classic Button Down Shirt

Price: $80
You can never go wrong with a button-down classic! The shirt pictured above is similar to one I own, just like this one. I personally like to wear larger sizes for a looser fit and often buy these in the men’s section (or borrow one from Joe’s). I’ll throw this on over my bathing suit or to lounge around the house in the morning.
4
Mille Beja Top (married)

Price: $172
I plan on wearing this top with my favorite mom jeans in a vineyard with low heeled sandals. It’s a different cut for me and I’m excited to try a new silhouette!
I buy my favorite mom jeans a year ago from H&M. The exact pair is no longer available but they have many similar styles which are in stock!
5
Maria Stanley bodysuit

Price: $145
This bodysuit is perfect. It is double layered cotton which means I can wear it without a bra and still have enough support. The square neckline is very flattering. I plan on wearing this with the matching white ensemble above and mom jeans as a backup outfit option.
6
Mille Adele dress (gift)
Price: $238
This dress is so comfortable and so pretty! She will most likely use it the night we cook dinner at the house.
7
Zara hot pink minidress

Price: $36
I found this dress during a trip to Zara at the mall. I grabbed it without trying it on and was so happy I did. Most of all, I love the color, the cut, and the loose fit (so I don’t have to think about eating or drinking too much when wearing it). I’m wearing this to dinner one night!
8
Bandeau Sea Level One Piece Swimsuit

Price: $110
I keep things simple when it comes to swimsuits with this black number, in part because I’m comfortable wearing it with absolutely zero tan.

9
Rifle Paper Co. x Summersalt Silky PJ Set (gift)

Price: $125
These luxurious pajamas are very comfortable to sleep in and are also perfect for lounging around the house in the morning and at night.
